What work means to people

Discussing what rewarded (i.e. paid) work means to employees, I asked my students to move out of the university building, find someone, who holds a job outside university. They should interview this person regarding what her or his job means for their life. Students came up with taxi drivers, janitors, university professors and numerous other examples. The small interview accounts formed an excellent starting point discussing what the job means for the life of human beings.
